Job summary

JWC Machine and Fab in Mobile, Alabama seeks an expert to lead heavy-part setups on HBMs and VTLs, ensuring first-pass conformance to drawings. You will load and fixture oversized parts, set up large CNC equipment, and perform in-process inspections with height gauges and dial indicators.

Collaboration with engineering helps optimize safe, efficient setups. Responsibilities include applying offsets, making minor edits to programs, and maintaining traceable records.

Qualifications

• Fluency reading engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with large-scale inspection methods (height gauges, indicators, precision levels).

Responsibilities

• Load, rig, and fixture oversized workpieces with cranes.
• Set up and operate HBMs and VTLs per drawings and travelers.
• Run in-process inspections and apply offsets; adjust programs as needed.
• Escalate safety, tooling, and quality concerns early.
