Day-in-the-life at JWC Machine and FabYou clock in at our Mobile, AL shop, review the job traveler, and pull the print. You plan the setup for a CNC lathe or mill, choose tooling, set work and tool offsets, and run a first article. Micrometers, calipers, and gauges confirm your work; you make fine wear-offset tweaks to nail a ±0.001\" tolerance and hit the surface finish callout. If a cycle drifts or a toolpath needs cleanup, you edit at the control (Fanuc, Haas, or similar) to keep parts in spec and the spindle cutting efficiently. You document results, maintain traceability, keep your area safe and organized, and hand off finished parts with confidence. This is a hands-on machinist role — not an operator role. You own quality from first article through final inspection.About JWCJWC Machine and Fab is a tight-tolerance CNC job shop serving industrial customers.
