Job summary

Phasic Energy seeks a senior mechanical engineer to design and iterate advanced heat exchangers. You will translate OEM specifications into novel geometries and validated hardware, leveraging AI-driven design to explore options and converge on robust solutions.

Collaboration with product leads and manufacturing partners will ensure concepts become reliable hardware. You will rely on 1D heat-exchanger models and high-fidelity CFD, balancing thermal targets with manufacturability while operating

Qualifications

• Masters or greater in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering with a thermal-fluid focus.
• 5+ years designing heat exchangers or thermal management hardware.
• Experience building first-principles 1D models (MATLAB/EES/Python).
• Proficiency with CFD/thermal simulation tools and optimization workflows.
• CAD experience and comfort with internal flow passages and 3D geometry.
• Hands-on thermal testing, data collection, calibration, and CFD model validation.
• Clear, direct communication of thermal trade-offs to non-thermals.

Responsibilities

• Translate OEM specs into heat exchanger concepts and geometries.
• Iterate toward performance and manufacturability targets with rapid iteration.
• Use 1D models and CFD to inform design decisions and trade-offs.
• Leverage AI-driven design to explore space and generate candidates.
• Design with additive manufacturing constraints and collaborate with PM/制造.
• Plan validation, interpret results, and adjust models accordingly.
• Build reusable tools and datasets to accelerate the team’s work.
