Job summary

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to assess customer specifications, perform mechanical design calculations (FEA), prepare and review drawings, and document activities for HEI/ASME standards.

Responsibilities include creating performance curves, supporting proposals, and developing in-house design automation for heat exchangers, with onsite equipment inspections and standards development. DOE-based compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher engineering degree required with advanced degrees a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering ASME Section III/VIII and/or HEI, pressure vessels or heat exchangers.
• Experience with ASME Section VIII-1/2, III, HEI standards preferred.
• Active PE license in Mechanical/Structural is preferred.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1, AWS, AISC is a plus.
• Proficiency in mechanical calculations and CAD/CAE tools listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and structural calculations including FEA and related analyses.
• Prepare design details, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.
• Review drawings for conformance to specs and codes.
• Support proposals and project execution with customers.
• Develop design automation and integrate with estimating tools.
