Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Sr. Development Engineer – Heat Exchangers to lead electro-mechanical product development across complex systems, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets.

You will collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and supply chain, drive the phase-gate process, and own subsystem designs while advancing innovation and applying DOE, DFMEA, and engineering tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop electro-mechanical products of significant complexity, supporting program quality, cost, and schedule.
• Develop test plans and perform testing of components, sub-systems, and total systems.
• Work cross-functionally with design, test, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain to ensure product design meets business needs.
• Drive the execution of the new product development phase-gate process, demonstrating design maturity across milestones.
