Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Healthcare Buildings Practice in San Francisco. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and maintain executive-level client relationships to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction.

As a senior leader, you will drive strategy across projects, manage budgets, schedules, and resources, and mentor PM staff while aligning with Principals-in-Charge and Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios of multiple healthcare projects and teams.
• Strong client management and relationship-building with healthcare systems and institutions.
• Track record of delivering projects meeting financial, schedule and quality goals.
• Understanding of healthcare delivery, planning, design and regulatory requirements.
• Experience mentoring project managers and teams.
• Skilled in portfolio planning, forecasting and financial monitoring.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of accessibility, life-safety codes and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as portfolio manager for a diverse healthcare project portfolio across delivery stages.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, budget, schedule, and design standards.
• Maintain executive relationships with healthcare clients during project delivery.
• Monitor revenue forecasting, profitability, WIP, invoicing and resources.
• Develop and oversee budgets, schedules, staffing plans and risk strategies.
• Collaborate with practice leaders to align delivery with business objectives.
• Support pursuits, proposals, contracts and project planning activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks, staffing challenges and scope changes.
• Lead client presentations, executive reviews and progress reporting.
• Coordinate across operations and discipline leads to optimize team performance.
• Champion PM framework and quality processes across the portfolio.
• Mentor Project Managers and junior staff for professional growth.
• Oversee project reporting and timely communication to leadership.
