Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team seeks a Principal, Healthcare Mechanical Engineering to lead the San Francisco health sector engineering discipline. This client-facing role drives strategic initiatives, business development, and delivery excellence across major healthcare projects.

You will guide design teams, ensure financial performance, and elevate our standards while mentoring staff and expanding market presence in the US West region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• PMI/ PMP certification a plus.
• LEED AP credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Health Sector engineering practice in San Francisco, and grow regional client relationships.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans aligning with regional goals.
• Oversee project design & delivery, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Mentor staff, manage workloads and firms’ performance metrics.
• Represent the firm through industry engagement and client-focused communications.
