Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) seeks a Healthcare Process Risk Senior Associate to help clients identify and address business risks within the Internal Audit practice. You will work with the Cyber & Risk team to enable proactive and responsive risk management from day one.

You will review processes, understand client operations, and participate in planning, fieldwork, and reporting. The role emphasizes data analytics, AI-enabled testing, and governance improvements across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS, BI or related field.
• CIO/CIA, CPA or similar certification preferred.
• 3+ years in internal audit with healthcare providers is expected.
• Familiarity with No Surprises Act and hospital price transparency rules.
• Experience with risk management, controls testing, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Review processes to assess risk, controls, and efficiency.
• Understand client business objectives, operations, and IT systems.
• Participate in planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up engagements.
• Support managers with project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to test design and execution.
• Develop audit work plans and use data analytics to improve coverage.
