Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Healthcare Process Risk Senior Associate in Los Angeles to strengthen our Internal Audit team. You will assess risk, design controls, and guide engagements from planning through reporting, with AI-enabled techniques to improve testing and coverage.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and client stakeholders to deliver practical, risk-based recommendations while contributing to governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, BI, or related field.
• CIA, CPA, Six Sigma, or another relevant certification preferred.
• Revenue Cycle: Experience in optimizing billing, coding, reimbursement, and claims processing.
• Healthcare Provider Internal Audit: 3+ years within hospitals, academic medical centers, or healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with No Surprises Act, price transparency, and OIG guidance.
• Experience with COSO IPPF, governance and internal controls best practices.
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools or create AI agents for testing, documentation, and monitoring.
• Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review processes to assess risk, internal controls, and efficiency.
• Understand client business objectives, operations, IT systems, and controls.
• Participate in engagements from planning through completion, including scoping and reporting.
• Support engagement leadership with plans, timelines, budgets, and status reports.
• Supervise and mentor Associates and Interns, providing feedback.
• Develop internal audit workplans and test procedures based on risk.
• Leverage data analytics and automation to enhance testing and risk insights.
• Contribute to AI-enabled solutions for audit planning, evidence review, and reporting.
