Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Process Risk Manager to help clients understand and address business risks with emphasis on risk, controls, and compliance across engagements. You’ll be supported by a national Risk, Compliance & Controls Practice to drive proactive and responsive risk work.

Your day-to-day includes evaluating processes for risk and control effectiveness, managing audits, and guiding improvements in IT and business processes while mentoring staff and coordinating with client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in a similar consulting practice serving cross-industry clients.
• CPA/CISA/CISSP/CIA/CISM certification preferred.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 experience preferred.
• Experience with financial, operational, and system audits and control reviews.
• Strong client service, communication, organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review processes to assess business risk, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Manage internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing engagements for clients.
• Identify risks and evaluate and test business processes and controls.
• Build strong client relationships across management levels.
• Advise on IT and business process optimization, cost reduction, and fraud prevention.
• Lead engagement management: supervision, scheduling, budgets, and reviews.
• Support business development: proposals, thought leadership, conferences.
• Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
• Develop and mentor staff through reviews and coaching.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
