Job summary

University of Louisville Physicians seeks a Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a physician clinic in Louisville, KY. You will supervise staff, manage the budget, scheduling, patient flow, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and HIPAA policies.

In this role, you will lead a team across front desk, medical records, nursing and ancillary services, driving efficiency and high-quality patient care while aligning with organizational policies and long-range plans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; clinical cert/license (CCMA, LPN, RN…) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; experience may substitute education requirements

Responsibilities

• Meets business and financial goals and patient/employee satisfaction targets.
• Provides supervision to staff during clinic operation.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage clinic budget and objectives.
• Lead and develop a team including hiring, training, and salary recommendations.
• Manage provider scheduling, attendances, and patient flow.
• Monitor front desk workflow, registrations, and collections.
• Oversee referrals and appointment triage processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Support development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Central Billing Office.
