Conifer Health Solutions in Dallas, TX is seeking a Litigation Manager to oversee the defense of medical malpractice and general liability claims for acute hospitals and employed providers.

You will coordinate incident reviews, retain and direct counsel, supervise discovery, and monitor case strategy with the VP/AGC for Litigation. Travel up to 10% may be required.

We value a JD or clinical degree, seven+ years in healthcare claims, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree; JD preferred.
• 7+ years in medical malpractice or healthcare claims management.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and/or claims databases.
• Healthcare knowledge including procedures, terminology, standards of care.
• Strong research, analytical and computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage docket of complex medical malpractice and general liability claims.
• Oversee defense from incident to trial, including discovery and mediation.
• Coordinate with hospital administration, risk management, and patient safety.
• Retain and direct counsel; assist with witness coordination.
• Assist counsel with discovery responses and document collection.
• Monitor claims and supervise counsel; report to leadership on strategy.
• Attend mediations and trials to monitor strategy and outcomes.
• Prepare reports to insurers and senior leadership.
