Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas, in good standing.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience; healthcare defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend physicians, hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice and professional liability litigation.
• Manage cases through all phases of litigation: pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, expert development, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Review and analyze medical records; work closely with medical and standard‑of‑care experts.
• Draft dispositive and pretrial motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Represent providers in related risk management, peer review, credentialing, and professional licensing board matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex and multi‑jurisdictional disputes.
