Job summary

Lillibridge Healthcare Services is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer to oversee full maintenance for an off-campus medical office building, handling repairs, preventative maintenance of HVAC, boilers, lighting, and life-safety systems while ensuring tenant satisfaction and safe operations.

You will manage budgets, staff, vendor relationships, and on-call emergencies, driving energy-saving initiatives and ensuring safety standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two-year college/technical school preferred.
• Maryland 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer license required; 1st Grade preferred.
• CFC handling certification preferred.
• Must be in Baltimore, MD area with after-hours availability and on-call rotation.
• Ability to read blueprints; CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with General Manager to design and manage preventive maintenance program and work orders.
• Oversee routine repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Respond to tenant calls and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform daily rounds to maintain a safe, pleasant environment.
• Maintain maintenance records, budgets, contracts, and capital expenditure recommendations.
• Schedule tasks, preventive maintenance, and projects with staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for testing and inspections.
• Direct and train maintenance personnel; supervise performance and budgeting.
• Lead vendor oversight and energy-saving initiatives; implement improvement programs.
