Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Southern California is seeking a California-licensed Architect with 10+ years of healthcare/institutional experience to lead design teams and BIM workflows from pre-design through construction. You’ll collaborate with PMs, Design Leaders, and Owners, developing designs, evaluating systems, and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Licensed Architect in California required
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably on large teams with healthcare or institutional clients
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred
• Healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI) experience is desired

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of varying size and complexity
• Inspire creativity and design excellence
• Develop building designs through sketches, models, and BIM
• Coordinate with PMs, Design Leaders, consultants, and Owners
• Utilize BIM to develop 3D models and construction documents
• Participate in design critiques and constructability reviews
• Present designs to stakeholders during early project phases
• Develop space planning and adjacencies in coordination with program
• Evaluate building systems and materials for sustainability and cost parameters
• Ensure design intent is maintained through documentation and construction
• Mentor and lead project teams through design critiques and pin-ups
