Job summary

Medica is seeking a Lead Analyst, Healthcare Analytics to provide reporting and analytical support to strategic employer group partners. You will design analyses to measure clinical outcomes and client performance using utilization and cost data, while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.

The role involves evaluating data trends, leading multiple projects, and creating dashboards to inform strategic decisions that enhance patient care and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare analytics, mathematics, statistics, or analytic related degree.
• 7+ years of work experience in healthcare analytics or data roles with employer group or client stakeholders.
• 5+ years' experience using SQL, SAS or Snowflake programming.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and visualization software (e.g. QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau).
• Comfortable presenting to executive level stakeholders.
• MS Excel proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate, and interpret complex data sets.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess membership and claim data to identify trends and variance opportunities that will lower cost and improve outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects with different stakeholders.
• Provide strategic analytic thought leadership to various departments and clients.
• Create customized reports and dashboards to visualize key metrics and benchmark against industry standards.
• Translate data insights into actionable strategies to improve patient care and financial performance.
• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and analytics tools.
