Job summary

Medica, a nonprofit health plan serving Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Missouri, and beyond, seeks a Lead Analyst, Healthcare Analytics to provide reporting and analytical support for employer group partners. You will design analyses measuring clinical outcomes and client performance using utilization and cost data.

The role requires 7+ years in healthcare analytics, strong SQL/SAS/Snowflake skills, and advanced visualization abilities (QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare analytics, mathematics, statistics, or analytics-related field.
• 7+ years in healthcare analytics or data roles with employer group or client stakeholders.
• 5+ years' experience using SQL, SAS or Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and visualization software (e.g. QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau).
• Comfortable presenting to executive level stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience designing, evaluating, and interpreting complex data sets with strong analytical skills.
• Experience in cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate membership and claim data to identify trends that lower costs and improve outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects with different stakeholders.
• Provide strategic analytic leadership to account and physician service departments and external clients.
• Work independently and with a team to meet objectives.
• Investigate issues on multiple tasks with limited guidance.
• Create customized reports and dashboards to visualize key metrics for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and analytics tools.
• Handle ad hoc data requests.
