Job summary

Accenture seeks a forward-deployed AI leader to drive data & AI programs within health plans, PBMs, and payer operations. You will direct multiple workstreams spanning claims, utilization, and clinical data to achieve outcomes from architecture through adoption.

You’ll design and govern AI programs across payer environments, ensuring safe, compliant, and transparent solutions with PHI safeguards. Travel may be required in a fast-paced, client-embedded setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience with cloud-native systems (APIs, microservices, containerization, serverless) and AI platforms.
• Hands-on coding in Python or Java; ability to learn new languages as engagements demand.
• Production deployment experience: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and end-to-end delivery ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead forward-deployed pods; own AI programs end-to-end inside health plans and payer operations.
• Define problems, outcomes, and what good looks like; identify where AI can automate or augment work.
• Architect and govern AI programs across payer environments; multi-system integration and clear documentation.
• Design for trust: ensure solutions are safe, compliant, and fair with PHI safeguards.
• Shape interoperability and reimagine future workflows for operations and clinical teams.
• Lead and develop the team; set delivery standards and coach engineers.
• Partner with client leadership to shape AI reinvention strategy and value realization.
• Publish reusable methods and accelerators to scale across payer engagements.
