Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced AI Engineering leader to own AI programs end-to-end within health plans and payer operations. You will define problems, architect multi-system integrations, and govern scalable AI initiatives across administrative, claims, and clinical platforms.

You will design trustworthy AI solutions, ensure PHI safeguards, and partner with executives to shape adoption roadmaps and ROI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience with cloud-native systems and AI platforms (Claude, OpenAI, Vertex)
• 8+ years of coding in Python or Java
• 8+ years of production deployment experience — CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, debugging
• 3+ years delivering AI or technology programs inside payer organizations
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Claude or frontier AI tools
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (12+ years of work) (or 6+ years with Associate’s)

Responsibilities

• Lead forward-deployed pods and AI programs end-to-end inside health plans and payer operations
• Define problems, outcomes, and success criteria for AI programs
• Architect and govern AI program integration across core admin, claims, and clinical platforms
• Design trustworthy, compliant AI solutions with PHI safeguards
• Shape future workflows for operations and clinical teams
• Advance healthcare interoperability across plans, providers, and data exchanges
• Coach and grow engineers within the pod and set delivery standards
• Collaborate with executives to define ROI, backlogs, and adoption roadmaps
• Publish reusable methods and accelerators to scale payer engagements
