Job summary

UW Medicine seeks a Senior Health System Project Manager to lead large, enterprise-critical initiatives within a matrixed environment. You will direct the work of multiple project managers, ensure alignment with strategic and operational goals, and report to executive leadership.

You will guide complex, multi-workstream programs, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and mentor junior EPMO staff while applying both waterfall and agile approaches as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field required.
• 9+ years of demonstrated success in project management.
• 4+ years interacting with senior/executive leadership (Director level or above).
• Experience across multiple domains: strategic planning, operations, financial/regulatory programs, academic medicine, or enterprise partnerships.
• Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies; select the right approach per project.
• Ability to guide and coordinate other project managers in complex initiatives without formal supervisory authority.
• Strong executive presence with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for the full life cycle of large-scale, enterprise-critical initiatives.
• Create structure to manage multi-workstream projects including sub-projects.
• Lead major projects with minimal supervision; report to executive and physician leaders.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and change requests.
• Mentor and guide other project managers within the initiative.
