Job summary

UW Medicine’s EPMO is seeking a Health System Project Manager to lead high-visibility strategic and operational initiatives across UW Medicine. The role collaborates with senior leadership to drive enterprise projects spanning departments and lines of business.

The HSPM will oversee complex portfolios, adapt PM approaches, monitor deliverables, and report milestones and risks, using standard EPMO tools. This is a 100% FTE, first shift position based in Seattle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the areas of information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field.
  • 5–7 years of demonstrated success/results in project management, including having overseen and managed multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt project management approach across different project types (operational, strategic, financial/regulatory, School of Medicine).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees, and teams to work toward deploying a different future state.
  • Strong executive presence, including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort presenting to large and small audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for the development and implementation of key initiatives and enterprise-critical projects across strategic, operational, financial, or School of Medicine portfolios.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business or service lines. Interact closely with leaders and work directly with stakeholders across the system to drive successful completion of tactical and strategic initiatives.

  • Adapt project management approach to the specific project type assigned.
  • Monitor and manage key deliverables of initiatives to ensure consistency with EPMO standards and approaches.
  • Build and utilize common EPMO project management tools and standard approaches while managing multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating clearly to project stakeholders and leadership.
