Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a leader in health project programming and planning to guide complex, multi-discipline teams. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, mentor staff, engage clients, and advance project quality while balancing technical excellence with practical project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience required.
• Subject matter expert on large, complex health projects.
• Licensure or registration in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and client-facing skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek to advance the state of the art and develop innovative solutions for evolving needs.
• Lead internal Subject Matter Expert Teams.
• Publish or present at least one time per year.
• Participate in marketing pursuits totaling $1M-$2M per year.
• Provide technical expertise in programming and planning for projects.
• Lead user group meetings to collect program needs and assess space use.
• Translate planning concepts into clear terms for clients and project teams.
• Develop architectural drawings and specifications to translate concepts into construction docs.
• Develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• Build excellent client relationships and mentor other designers.
• Maintain 80% billable time and 10% marketing.
