Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a senior professional to act as a subject matter expert on health projects, leading teams and clients with a strong focus on delivering high-quality design solutions. The role requires extensive experience across large, complex health projects and leadership across planning, documentation, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience.
• Experience as a subject matter expert on health market projects preferred.
• Licensure or registration in the United States preferred; LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-level specialist role as SME on health projects, focusing on team and client leadership.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning for projects.
• Lead user group meetings to collect and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
• Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners through reports and drawings; optimize plans with designers.
• Translate planning concepts into terms for clients, designers, and team members.
• Lead development, modification, and review of planning concepts and solutions.
• Develop architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into construction documents.
• Develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients; provide guidance to designers and project leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
