Job summary

TriNet is seeking a Senior Health Plan Pricing Analyst to determine medical pricing based on risk, using multiple tools and carrier guidelines. You will review prospect offerings and collaborate with Sales to explain pricing rules. Role includes training colleagues and contributing to pricing strategy.

The position operates in a fast-paced health plan pricing team, with opportunities to influence pricing decisions, support carriers, and mentor newer staff in the Insurance Services department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Typically 5+ years in insurance pricing or underwriting.
• Exceptional knowledge of health plan pricing.
• Ability to interpret and analyze detailed medical plans and documents.
• Proficient in Excel; Salesforce.com knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to determine an appropriate medical price based on group risk using multiple tools.
• Review prospect’s current medical offerings for pricing alignment.
• Ensure compliance with carrier partner requirements.
• Review complex cases including self-funded groups and large populations.
• Collaborate with Sales colleagues to explain pricing guidelines.
