Job summary

TriNet is seeking a Senior Health Plan Pricing Analyst in Austin to determine medical pricing for prospects using parity and pricing tools, collaborating with carrier partners and the Health Plan Pricing team.

The role requires 5+ years in insurance pricing or underwriting, strong health plan pricing knowledge, and excellent Excel skills. You will train colleagues and collaborate with Sales on pricing guidelines, with remote possibilities at times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Typically 5+ years in insurance pricing or underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of health plan pricing and related documents.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to communicate pricing guidelines to Sales and partners.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate medical pricing for prospects using multiple tools.
• Review a prospect’s current medical offerings and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with carrier partner requirements.
• Review complex cases (self-funded groups; >100 employees).
• Collaborate with Sales to explain medical pricing guidelines.
• Assist in training new colleagues and ongoing pricing education.
• Lead and participate in price optimization projects as directed.
