Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an Account Advisor to retain clients through exceptional service and administration. You will act as the main liaison for fully insured and self-funded plans, brokers, and consultants, resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships.

You will coordinate renewals, client projects, and communications, delivering strategic solutions and presenting client-facing materials while guiding internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related sales professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• Overnight travel as required

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary account contact for fully insured and self-funded health plan clients, brokers, and consultants, ensuring excellent service, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Coordinate renewals, client projects, communications, reporting, and internal resources to support ongoing account management.
• Develop and present client-facing materials, enrollment meetings, wellness initiatives, and required plan documentation.
• Prepare accurate legal documents and execute the signature process for documents such as Summary of Benefits and Summary Plan Descriptions.
• Resolve escalated service issues with internal staff and stakeholders.
• Analyze and deliver client reporting and design complex reporting solutions.
• Mentor new Account Advisors.
