Job summary

Veeva Systems seeks a Senior Health Data Analyst to drive data quality for the Terminology Reference Library and to manage reference data across prescription and medical claims. You will query datasets, map fields, and help integrate new data sources into core schemas.

You will also develop dashboards to track data quality metrics, document validation work, and collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs, and Engineers to improve data pipelines and product quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience analyzing record-level prescription and medical claims datasets.
• 4+ years of experience in health data quality analysis, data profiling, and data governance principles.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with large-scale relational databases.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare code sets (NDC, ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, LOINC) and payer data.
• Experience in data storytelling using Excel, BI tools, or dashboards.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with unstructured healthcare data.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM/healthcare field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Python and with the Sigma BI tool.
• Experience in the life sciences industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive TRL governance by maintaining core reference datasets across prescriptions and medical claims.
• Evaluate and integrate new data sources into existing core schemas.
• Perform quality and cleansing workflows to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate data anomalies and assess downstream impact on products.
• Build interactive dashboards and contribute to validation reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs, and Developers to optimize data pipelines.
