Job summary

American Fidelity in Oklahoma City seeks a senior leader to direct disability, absence management and supplemental medical claims processing. You will oversee multiple teams, set goals, monitor performance, and ensure compliant, timely claim handling.

You will partner with Directors and legal advisors to resolve complex issues, drive process improvements, and mentor supervisors to elevate service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in leadership/management position.
• Minimum 7-10 years in insurance-related position with 4 years minimum fife claims experience.
• Industry knowledge including domestic and international markets.
• Strong oral and written communications skills, including interpersonal and consultative abilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to optimize department procedures.
• Diplomacy and decision making capabilities.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to new software/technology and work in a paperless environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee a team of leaders responsible for Disability, Absence Management and Supplemental Medical claim processing.
• Work with leadership to set and manage goals and performance expectations for accurate, fair service and timely claims processing.
• Assist Director with resolving complex claim issues and coordination with legal representatives to defend lawsuits and minimize litigation.
