Pacific Life is seeking a Sr Long Term Disability Claims Specialist to advance our Work Force Benefits Division. You will develop and refine claims processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver a best-in-class, empathetic claims experience.

You will handle complex LTD caseloads from intake through resolution, collaborating with clinical and vocational partners to ensure fair outcomes and timely decisions, while mentoring teammates and improving internal workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Long Term Disability claims experience, including complex/high-risk cases preferred.
• Strong communication skills with claimants, employers, providers, and internal partners.
• Customer-focused with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.
• Ability to interpret and apply policy provisions, contractual language, and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of ERISA and related federal/state requirements.

Responsabilités

• Manage a diverse and complex caseload of LTD claims from intake to resolution with timely, fair, and accurate decisions.
• Collaborate with clinical and vocational partners to develop RTW strategies and determine benefit eligibility.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on LTD claim practices and contribute to internal procedural improvements.
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate clearly with claimants and stakeholders.
• Mentor onboarding of new team members and support cross-functional collaboration.
