Job summary

Aon is seeking an experienced actuarial consultant to join our health care practice in the United States. The role involves strategy and actuarial consulting, leading client engagements, and directing actuarial teams on large projects.

You will mentor staff, drive business outcomes, and contribute to practice development. Preferred locations include Houston or Atlanta, with other locations such as Tampa, Dallas, Raleigh, or Charlotte.

Qualifications

• ASA/FSA designation or equivalent.
• 6+ years of health care industry experience (carrier or consulting).
• Project management experience.
• People management/mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategy and actuarial consulting, including benefit strategy, goal setting, benchmarking, plan design, pricing strategy, budget setting, and bid/selection projects.
• Provide actuarial client leadership on targeted clients/prospects.
• Exhibit leadership in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternatives.
• Explain actuarial methodology and results to clients and discuss potential alternatives.
• Participate in strategic discussions with clients.
• Lead actuarial client teams and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Sign off on results and coordinate with broader actuarial teams on large projects.
• Contribute to practice improvement through national model development and initiatives.
