Job summary

Sarasota Housing in Sarasota, FL seeks a skilled HCV Program Manager to oversee the Housing Choice Voucher program, audits, SEMAP, PIC reporting, and leasing/HAP utilization. You will develop administrative plans, supervise staff, and coordinate with the HCV Director and CEO on policy direction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years HCV experience) with HUD HQS training and possible HCV certifications within 12 months; valid Florida driver's license and ability to pass drug

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of HCV experience, HUD HQS training, and relevant HCV certifications (e.g., HCV Specialist, HCV Executive Management) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• At least 5 years of experience in the HCV Program; 2 years in management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain caseload for port-ins/port-outs and handle billing/receipts.
• Train landlord liaison on Waiting List management and back up responsibilities.
• Assist Director with PIC submissions and corrections.
• Help develop and administer policies for leased and subsidized housing programs.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations governing the HCV Program.
• Monitor program performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with HCV Director on policy planning, budgeting, and performance measures.
• Engage with leadership, staff, and stakeholders professionally and effectively.
• Assist in implementing policies and daily operating procedures.
• Ensure staff training and proper documentation; maintain HUD regulation files.
