Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the high capacity transit corridor design and environmental approvals. You will manage staff, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with local governments, communities, and agencies across Puget Sound.

The role requires a strong background in transit project management, federal/state permitting knowledge, and effective communication with decision-makers. Hybrid work model with on-site collaboration at the Seattle office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and six years transit-related PM experience.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to Puget Sound cities.
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and SEPA/NEPA laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and manage project schedules and budgets for the corridor.
• Coordinate with local agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee environmental review and community outreach.
• Manage consultant contracts for PE and environmental work.
• Present project details to Board and executive staff.
