Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Manager for High Capacity Transit (HCT) Development in Seattle. You will lead a corridor team, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with local governments and the Design/Construction Division to advance HCT planning and environmental processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of transit project management experience; travel across Puget Sound is expected. This is a hybrid, full-time position based in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field.
• Six years of public transit related project management experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to Puget Sound cities required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff; assigns work activities and schedules; provides feedback and evaluations.
• Develops partnerships with local jurisdictions to support station area planning and TOD opportunities.
• Manages preliminary design budget and scope for construction programs and procures consultant contracts.
• Coordinates with the Board and agency staff to prepare briefing materials and present project details.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies; leads cross‑functional collaboration.
