Job summary

Florida Legislature is seeking a Senior Information Systems Programmer/Analyst to provide senior-level technical and functional analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, documentation, and user support for the Legislature’s HCM systems.

The role supports the Systems Project Administrator in planning and executing HCM projects, translating complex requirements into system solutions, coordinating testing, and ensuring successful adoption within a legislative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, mathematics, or engineering or related field and two years of progressively responsible information systems experience.
• Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
• Knowledge of HCM or other enterprise systems and information systems terminology, concepts, architecture, workflows, and implementation practices.
• Knowledge of system implementation lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, process analysis, configuration, testing, data conversion, integrations, deployment, and post-implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical and functional resource supporting HCM system implementation and modernization projects.
• Consult with HR business units to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements.
• Participate in analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and stabilization of enterprise HR information systems.
• Create and maintain reports, queries, and outputs to support HR operations and project requirements.
• Develop and execute system and integration test plans and user acceptance testing.
