Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems Inc. is seeking a HazOps Engineer to conduct hazard analyses using methodologies like FMEA, HAZOP, and What-If Analysis.

You will develop and implement controls for identified hazards and provide technical expertise on hazardous materials and processes. Responsibilities include performing complex hazards analyses, applying physics-based risk mitigation, supporting design and regulatory needs, and serving as a consultant/SME on risks in products and processes involving highly

Qualifications

BS Engineering or Physics required.
8+ years experience with energetic materials.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communicator and team leader.
Solid working knowledge of MIL-STD-882, DoD4145, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform complex hazards analyses in support of development, testing, and manufacturing of hazardous materials.
Apply physics-based approach to risk identification and mitigation.
Support concept, design, and process hazards analyses per contract data item requirements and regulatory needs.
Provide basis for safety waivers and regulatory interpretation and deviation.
Function as consultant/SME on risks associated with design and development using highly hazardous materials.
Collaborate across organizations to establish policies and procedures for risk reduction and hazard control.
