Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Hazards Analyst or Hazard Analyst Engineer to support the Hazards Analysis team in Bacchus or Promontory, UT. You will perform physics-based risk assessments on energetic materials and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to identify safeguards and reduce risk.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (and Master’s for Engineer track) in a relevant field and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering field; master’s preferred for engineer track.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance and meet SAP requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to brief technical information to management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazards analysis studies for HA engineers on processes and materials.
• Collaborate with Safety, Process, Tooling, Design and Operations to complete analyses.
• Develop MIL-STD 882, DoD 4145.26M, DoD 6055.9, OSHA and NFPA regulatory knowledge.
