Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Level 4 Harnessing and Packaging Engineer to own the internal harnessing and electronics packaging for the TeraWave flight product, from ideation through development to high-rate production.

You will design, analyze, and release 3D models and drawings, ensure manufacturability in a space environment, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams to meet ambitious production goals.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 8+ years in electronics packaging/harnessing for complex systems integrated in final product.

Responsibilities

• Design, integration, and production readiness of internal harnessing and packaging for flight product (TeraWave).
• Lead transition from low-rate builds to high-rate production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and QA to define processes and test procedures.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for harnesses, enclosures, PCB/PCBA assemblies.
• Perform trade studies on components, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers in DFM/ DFA and product maturation.
