Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior Avionics Harness Design Engineer to lead electrical harness design for spaceflight hardware. You will create wiring diagrams, 3D routed data, and installation drawings for a Mk1 vehicle module, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and manufacturability.

Responsibilities include component selection, harness integration, and mentoring junior engineers within the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team, with opportunities across multiple Blue Origin

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related technical subject.
• 10+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with Creo, Zuken or Windchill or equivalent CAD routing software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signals.
• Select harness components and hardware, connectors, backshells, cable and wire.
• Create Wiring diagrams utilizing engineering tools (e.g., Zuken E3).
• Create 3D routed harness data files using Creo for cabling.
• Produce harness detail and installation drawings from 3D datasets.
• Design and integrate harness support brackets.
• Support design configuration development and trade studies.
