Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Level 4 Harnessing and Packaging Engineer to own internal harnessing and packaging for the TeraWave product. You will guide design, integration, and production readiness, influencing manufacturability and reliability for high-volume spaceflight components.

You will design using state-of-the-art tools, lead production transitions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with suppliers to meet demanding aerospace requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in electronics packaging/harnessing for complex systems.
• Hands-on experience transitioning products to high-rate production.
• Expertise in DFM, DFA, and cost-reduction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, integration, and production readiness of internal harnessing and packaging.
• Lead technical transition from low-rate builds to high-rate production.
• Define, develop, and validate production processes, tooling, and test procedures.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for harnesses, cabling, and enclosures using Creo/SolidWorks/Windchill.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve manufacturing challenges and qualify processes.
• Oversee structural, thermal, and vibration analysis; run verification and validation campaigns.
• Mentor junior engineers in harness design and manufacturing maturation.
