Job summary

Uber is building out AV Labs in Sunnyvale to accelerate autonomous vehicle data platforms. The Staff Hardware TPM will lead multi-disciplinary teams, managing NPI programs, integration validation, and supplier coordination to deliver cutting-edge sensing, compute, and interface technologies.

With a strong engineering background, you will shape R&D roadmaps from concept to prototype, while ensuring schedule, quality, and risk are tightly controlled across partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of system engineering experience leading multi-functional teams through ambiguity.
• BS/MS in Engineering or equivalent hands-on background.
• Experience with external hardware vendors and SOW management.
• Experience setting up NPI material tracking and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle NPI and build programs with automotive partners.
• Drive hardware-software integration strategies and validation plans.
• Establish material tracking frameworks and BOM management.
• Direct vendor execution, lead times, and risk mitigation.
• Align internal teams and external partners across roadmaps and gates.
