Job summary

Aquent Talent partners with a pioneering autonomous-vehicles company to recruit a visionary Advanced Hardware Program Manager. Lead end-to-end hardware programs from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and mass production, coordinating HW, SW, firmware, and supply chain across multiple teams.

You will collaborate with external contract manufacturers, define roadmaps, manage risks, and communicate progress to leadership in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hardware TPM/Engineering PM experience from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT to production ramp.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline with strong hardware background.
• Experience working with outside contract manufacturers throughout development and ramp.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software, firmware, functional safety, and systems engineering.
• Strong communication to report program progress and risks clearly to leadership.
• Proficiency in tools to manage complex programs (e.g., JIRA, Gantt charts).
• Ability to navigate rapid development cycles with flexibility and composure.
• Self-motivated problem-solver with ability to influence without formal authority across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware development programs from concept to production ramp.
• Translate corporate strategy into detailed roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with HW, SW, FW, Functional Safety, System, Procurement, and Vehicle Development teams to align priorities and deliverables.
• Partner with outside contract manufacturers to plan builds, implement DFM/DFT feedback, and prepare for ramp.
• Establish and maintain standard reporting mechanisms, communicating progress, risks, and accomplishments to teams and leadership.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation actions in collaboration with engineering teams and CMs.
• Facilitate efficient decision-making by setting agendas for key meetings to reduce bottlenecks.
• Support cross-functional decisions with engineering, finance, and strategy for optimal outcomes.
