Job summary

Aurora in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to lead hardware/software integration and bring-up programs for driverless platforms. You will partner with software, firmware, hardware engineering, and operations to deliver credible plans from conception to on-road.

Candidates should have 7+ years in TPM/PM/Engineering Manager roles in autonomous or embedded software and be comfortable with travel.

Qualifications

Requires 7+ years in Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, or Engineering Manager roles in autonomous systems, robotics, embedded systems or software development.
Familiarity with automotive platforms, autonomous vehicles, or safety-critical software is beneficial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
Solid technical aptitude and ability to understand designs, SDLC, risks, and work with engineers.

Responsibilities

Partner with software and firmware leaders to drive planning and delivery of software for hardware/software integration programs.
Serve as a go-to resource for program status and executive reviews.
Develop detailed engineering plans for bringing up software to enable new hardware platforms from conception to on-road.
Collaborate with TPMs and Product Managers to align software needs with the product roadmap and upcoming hardware programs.
Inform future hardware architecture from the software requirements and feasibility perspective with Hardware Product and Engineering teams.
Coordinate with Vehicle Operations across sites for initial bring-up, testing, and deployment of new hardware platforms.
