Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Hardware Reliability Engineer for Starlink Aviation to ensure reliability and quality of flight hardware through design, manufacture, testing and fleet support on the Starlink Aviation system.

Responsibilities include designing long-term reliability tests, partnering with design and manufacturing, implementing robust test and inspection processes, investigating failures, and driving corrective actions to prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute long-term reliability tests during product development and qualification.
• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing to ensure manufacturability and process reliability for flight hardware.
• Develop, implement, and validate test and inspection processes to meet reliability goals.
• Execute projects to improve reliability with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate anomalies and failures to identify root causes and mitigate risk.
• Drive corrective actions to prevent factory escapes of defective hardware.
