Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Hardware Reliability for the Starlink program. You will help develop reliability strategies, test plans, and validation methods across mechanical, RF, electrical, and software interfaces to ensure robust performance in production and field use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in test, analysis, manufacturing, or hardware development (internships count).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability test strategies for new products and subcomponents.
• Design and execute environmental, RF, mechanical, and electrical tests tailored to the product.
• Write test programs to exercise functionality under varied conditions and environments.
• Automate reliability testing and reporting with data visualization and analysis.
• Monitor manufacturing process reliability and drive improvements on key quality metrics.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and guide remediation on the line.
• Quarantine and rework suspect non-conforming product with guidance to production.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing and network teams to maximize reliability.
