Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking an experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize server platforms within the Hardware Engineering MTR team.

You will lead mechanical and thermal design, drive performance and cost improvements, and push innovations for large‑scale cloud infrastructure. The role involves collaboration with HW and SW teams, mentoring engineers, and interacting with overseas resources to deliver robust and scalable systems for AWS's global customer

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems.
• Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑discipline teams to develop optimized integrated solutions.
• Conduct failure analysis and validation for product development and fleet systems.
• Manage interaction with overseas resources.
• Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers.
