Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking a Principal Hardware Design Engineer for the Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) department to design and develop mixed-signal hardware for radar subsystems. The role emphasizes circuit card assemblies, theoretical analysis, and collaboration with systems and manufacturing teams on design trades and verification.

The position requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance, and strong

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics plus 8+ years of experience.
Experience in two or more areas: digital or RF/analog design, production testing, and analysis.
Familiarity with design tools and analytical software listed in the job description.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship is required.
Leadership of small design teams or projects is desirable.
Experience with cost and schedule management is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design circuit blocks, sub-systems, and verify through modeling and testing.
Integrate and test at component, board, and subsystem levels.
Transition designs to production and support manufacturing/test teams.
Travel to supplier or customer sites as needed.
Lead small projects or processes within the area of responsibility.
Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and electrical engineers throughout the design lifecycle.
