Job summary

Milwaukee Tool, a part of Techtronic Industries, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for Hand Tools to drive advanced product development. The role leads cross-functional teams and makes critical design decisions across performance, durability, manufacturability, and user experience.

The engineer will design, validate, and optimize tools, mentor teammates, and partner with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure successful launches.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics required; MS preferred.
5+ years of design experience in hands-on product development.
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools: Creo, SolidWorks, NX.
Experience using engineering analysis tools such as FEA and hand calculations.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

Lead mid/high complexity Hand Tool NPD projects as chief technical resource.
Provide engineering guidance and recommendations to project leaders and global teams.
Define validation strategies and establish test regimens for components and assemblies.
Develop, execute, and analyze laboratory and field-testing programs; summarize findings.
Mentor other engineers and lead design reviews across teams.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and suppliers during development and launches.
