Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Design Engineer II to contribute to the design, validation, and launch of Hand Tool NPD projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop product designs that meet end-user needs, performance requirements, and project objectives.

Responsibilities include evaluating designs for materials, manufacturing methods, reliability, and cost; performing engineering analyses; developing testing programs; communicating results to stakeholders; and

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years design experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Cre o/SolidWorks/NX).
• Experience applying engineering analysis tools to support mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and launch Hand Tool NPD projects with cross-functional teams.
• Develop product specifications that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate designs for materials, processes, durability, reliability, and cost.
• Develop testing programs to support design decisions and product validation.
• Communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist manufacturing and suppliers in design improvements.
