Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to drive the design and development of new power tool products and support existing lines. The role combines advanced engineering with project leadership within the Power Tools department to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will lead a small team, coordinate with global engineering, and set up rigorous testing and analysis to guide design decisions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• Strong CAD proficiency in 3D CAD software.
• Experience with FEA and advanced analyses.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage 1–3 direct reports (Design Engineers and Designers).
• Lead technical resource and mechanical engineering leadership on mid/high complexity Power Tool NPD projects.
• Provide engineering information to Project Leaders and Global Engineering teams for trade-off decisions.
• Establish test regimens and deliver data analyses to support design decisions.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor others.
• Perform calculations and analyses: mechanical stress, tolerance stack, fluid dynamics, NVH, mechanism development.
