Job summary

Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office seeks a Senior Attorney for the 2nd Circuit to represent abused, abandoned, and neglected children in dependency court. You will work on case strategies, file pleadings, and participate in hearings, depositions, and mediations under supervision.

Responsibilities include independent fact investigations, advocating for permanency and normalcy, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure child advocacy and timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school and admission to The Florida Bar.
• Strong trial skills and ability to advocate effectively in court on behalf of the child.
• Knowledge of juvenile law and dependency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent, advocate, and negotiate for assigned children inside and outside the courtroom.
• Assist other Guardian ad Litem Attorneys in developing and implementing case strategies.
• Review case files, investigate facts, file pleadings and motions, and attend court proceedings such as hearings and depositions.
